Job description: Job Description:Our client in Calgary is looking for a Contract Property Accountant to support their busy team. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who enjoys daily accounting operations and month-end close activities.Key Responsibilities:
- Process security deposit refunds and issue cheques to tenants twice weekly
- Perform daily and monthly bank/account reconciliations
- Prepare journal entries, accruals, and amortization schedules
- Support full month-end close and financial reporting
- Liaise with internal teams on financial matters
- Assist with budgets, audits, and projects
- Ad-hoc duties as requested
Requirements:What You Bring:
- 3+ years of accounting experience, property accounting is a plus
- Proficient in Excel; Yardi experience an asset
- Strong understanding of month-end close
- Detail-oriented, organized, and proactive
- CPA designation or in progress is a plus
