Job description: Job Description:Robert Half is assisting our client in their search for a detail-oriented Property Accountant. If you thrive in a role that leverages your accounting expertise to help manage and support multiple real estate assets, this is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a growing team.Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements for assigned properties
- Reconcile bank accounts, tenant accounts, and other general ledger accounts
- Review and record accounts payable and receivable transactions
- Monitor and post tenant receivables, including rent payments and other charges
- Assist in annual budgeting and forecasting for managed properties
- Work with property management teams to ensure proper coding of invoices, leases, and other documentation
- Prepare monthly variance analysis
- Assist with year-end audit processes, including providing documentation and answering auditor inquiries
- Prepare CAM reconciliations and other tenant-related analysis as needed
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Property Accountant
- Strong knowledge of accrual accounting, journal entries, and reconciliations
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
