For more information on the Ministry of Forestry and Parks, please visit: .Role ResponsibilitiesReporting to the Wildfire Facilities Program Lead, the Regional Facility Coordinator facilitates the delivery of the Wildfire Management Branch’s Facilities Program in the West Central Alberta area, including Whitecourt, Edson, Hinton and Grande Cache.Key Responsibilities:

QualificationsMinimum Requirement Standard:Two-year technical diploma in a related field such as construction trade such as carpenter, electrician, communication electrician, plumber, gasfitter, welder plus four years related experience; or equivalent as described below.A Journeyperson Certificate in a construction trade such as carpentry, electrical or plumbing is required, supplemented by a minimum of two years additional directly related experience in the facility and construction field with extensive project supervision; or a two (2) year construction trade diploma with at least 4 years directly related experience.Equivalency: Directly related education or experience considered on the basis of: 1 year of education for 1 year of experience or vice versa.Additional Requirement: A valid Class 5 Driver’s License or equivalent.Assets:

Refer to .NotesThis is a permanent, full-time role with the standard weekly work hours of 36.25, Monday to Friday. The incumbent may be requested to work overtime, evenings and weekends due to the emergency nature of wildfires.Travel within the area and throughout the province will be required as part of your responsibilities to coordinate with Ministry staff and colleagues, other government departments, clients, and other external stakeholders.Any costs associated with obtaining the required documents/checks as noted or interview travel expenses will be the responsibility of the candidate.
