ICHWP conducts applied health services and policy research using a variety of methodologies and methods, including patient outcome evaluations, survey studies, chart reviews, process evaluations, focused ethnographies and other qualitative methods, and policy analysis.Position SummaryWe are seeking a full-time research coordinator, working under the direction of Dr. Elaine Hyshka (ICHWP Scientific Director), Dr. Ginetta Salvalaggio (ICHWP Associate Scientific Director), Dr. Kathryn Dong (ICHWP Associate Scientific Director) to support the program’s research activities, including coordinating participant recruitment, data collection, analysis, literature reviews, peer engagement, and reporting. The research coordinator will work with the project team, project partners, and service operators to prepare proposals, ethics protocols, community reports, scientific publications, and other materials. The successful candidate may also be involved in additional research activities, if suited to their skills, and as time allows.This position is ideal for someone with strong training and experience in qualitative or quantitative research, and working with structurally vulnerable populations. Past experience working with people who use substances in community and/or inner city settings is considered a strong asset. We are especially interested in a candidate with high attention to detail, excellent written and oral communication skills, and a strong ability to work independently. ICHWP’s fast-paced, highly engaged research program will provide the successful candidate with an opportunity to work on research projects that contribute directly to improved health services and outcomes for people who use substances, their families, and communities.Duties
