Job title: Senior Accountant (1 Year Contract)

Job description: Royal Camp Services Ltd. serves infrastructure, energy and mining end markets in Western Canada and the Territories, through the rental of camp trailers and the provision of catering services at remote lodges. We are currently seeking an individual that can contribute to our accounting team for a one-year contract. Reporting to the Controller, the Senior Accountant would be responsible for various aspects within the month end cycle supporting Royal Camp Services Ltd. and it’s First Nation partnerships.Primary responsibilities would include:
- Review and understanding of customer contracts and partnership agreements
- Review and approval of journal entries, AP/AR invoices, intercompany invoices
- Review monthly inventory costing, job reviews, financial statements packages
- Preparation of the monthly forecast
- Preparation of the monthly job operations commentary
- Review and approval of First Nation commission calculations
- Attend various meetings throughout the month
- Support of the admin staff for monthly AR billing including co-ordination of meetings and maintenance of the accruals schedule
- Statistics Canada reporting
- Audit assistance when required
The candidate should have the following qualifications and abilities:
- 3-5 years of experience in a senior level accounting role
- Very strong Excel skills
- Strong written and oral communication
- High attention to detail
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Experience with Sage 300 is an asset
- Working towards or has an Accounting Degree or Designation
