This position is responsible for the full-cycle accounting function, including accounts payable, tax filings, month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting for a multi-location business.Key ResponsibilitiesAccounting and ReportingPrepare month-end journal entries and inter-branch allocationsPerform daily bank reconciliationsClose and balance books for multiple locationsFile GST and PST returnsCompile month-end reports and account analysesAssist with year-end audit preparation and supportLiaise with operations leaders on accounting-related mattersSupport implementation of a new cloud-based ERP systemInvoice ProcessingProcess and verify vendor invoices from both Canadian and US suppliersMatch invoices to purchase orders and received goods/servicesReconcile vendor accounts and credit card statementsEnter invoice data accurately into accounting softwarePayment ProcessingProcess vendor payments in a timely and accurate mannerComplete tax payments and adhere to deadlinesMonitor payment terms, early payment discounts, and resolve discrepanciesProcess credit card transactionsRecord Keeping and ReconciliationMaintain accurate and organized financial recordsReconcile accounts payable and vendor statementsPrepare supporting documentation for financial reportsEnsure consistency and accuracy in all reconciliationsOther DutiesSupport month-end and year-end close proceduresAddress and resolve vendor inquiriesBuild strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholdersAbout You3+ years of hands-on, full-cycle accounting experience7–8 years of progressive experience in the accounting fieldPost-secondary education in accounting, finance, or business is preferredSalary Range
$65,000 – $85,000 per year
