From offices, retail spaces, and logistics facilities to multifamily residences, hospitality establishments, and mixed-use structures — we are reimagining real estate from the ground up.If you’re ready to be a part of our team, we encourage you to apply.Job DescriptionOverview:Reporting to the Accounting Manager, located at our head office in Calgary, the Senior Accountant takes the lead in monitoring, interpreting and communicating operating & financial results for the Alberta Communities divisions (Calgary and Edmonton). Additionally, the Senior Accountant critically evaluates the on-going performance, efficiency, reporting, and internal controls for operations. This includes preparing reporting and analysis for divisional reporting, preparing reporting to Corporate/centre-led team, as well as ad hoc analysis as required.Key Deliverables:Assist in ensuring accurate and timely preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting informationReview and/or prepare of the quarter-end Management Meeting Package, quarterly and year-end supplemental informationEnsure that all transactions are prepared and recorded accurately and in a timely manner and in accordance with the accounting policies and proceduresReview of day to day accounting entries as required including quarterly bank & loan reconciliationsReview operational job costs and CTCsAttend various department and interdepartmental meetings to obtain information for analysis and reportingAssist/support operations and executive team in day to day and ad-hoc information requestsPrepare financial information for Project Approvals / assist in DCF preparationOversee the forecasts for Sales, Operational Cash Spend, and marketing spend (for Sales, Operations and Marketing groups)Maintain the sales and inventory warehouse, gathering info from the Sales team and LMSAssist with the ongoing monitoring of compliance with internal controls over financial reportingAssist with Annual Audit/SOX requests & walkthroughsOversee Limited Partnership audits / reviewsReview quarterly banking submissions, ensuring compliance with credit agreementsReview quarterly bond and LC reporting and forecastingWhat You Bring:CPA or equivalent designation and 3+ years of progressively responsible experience for a major or medium-sized company.Excellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong problem-solving skills and the ability to proactively identify risks/issues and recommend solutionsStrong working knowledge of accounting systems and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.Practical experience and understanding of financial reporting requirements.Real estate experience is considered an assetWhat We Offer:Competitive compensationExcellent extended medical, dental and vision benefits beginning day 1RRSP program, contributions begins day 1Career development programsPaid Volunteer HoursPaid parental leaveFamily planning assistance including IVF, surrogacy and adoptions optionsWellness and mental health resourcesPet insurance offeringA culture based on our values of Passion, Integrity and Community#LI-BT1#BRP We are proud to create a diverse environment and are proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
