Job description: Our client seeks a Senior Controller to lead their financial operations and drive strategic growth. Compensation & Hours:
- Salary: $100,000 – $140,000 / year. + Bonus
- Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm
Position Summary:
- Manage all accounting activities: general ledger, payroll, accounts payable/receivable
- Oversee financial statement preparation and regulatory reporting
- Maintain internal controls per ASPE standards
- Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
- Prepare and present financial reports for senior leadership and external stakeholders
- Analyze financial performance, recommending cost-saving improvements
- Act as the liaison for external audits
- Collaborate with Operations and Sales on costing, pricing, and margins
- Drive strategic finance projects, including ERP system enhancements
- Mentor and develop your finance team
- Travel for business as necessary
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business or accounting; CPA required
- Minimum 2-3 years in management or supervisory roles
- Advanced MS Office and Excel; experience with ERP systems is an asset
- Familiar with financial record-keeping, pension, and profit-sharing requirements
- Strong understanding of financial regulations, ASPE standards, and audit processes
- Proven ability to lead, mentor, and motivate a team toward meeting objectives
- Skilled in financial analysis, forecasting, and identifying process improvement opportunities.
