Job description: Job Description:THE ROLE:Our client in the Oil and Gas industry is seeking a Senior Financial Accountant for an 18-month contract.Typical duties include:
- Assist in preparing quarterly/annual MD& A, financial statements with notes, Audit Committee presentations, and security filings
- Prepare month-end journal entries for ARO, DD& A, leases, FX, and hedging
- Assist with corporate presentations and press releases
ABOUT YOU:You are a dedicated professional with a CPA designation and 5 years of experience, preferably within oil and gas accounting. With your excellent organization and keen analytical skills, it’s second nature for you to prepare quarterly/annual MD& A, financial statements with notes, Audit Committee presentations, and security filings. You are experienced in preparing month-end journal entries for ARO, DD& A, leases, FX, and hedging. You have a knack for lending your expertise to corporate presentations, with strong interpersonal and communication abilities, you smoothly navigate multitasking under pressure and are proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
