Job description: This is a 6 month contract for a company within financial services. The Senior Accountant will play a crucial role in managing the full cycle accounting process. This position will ensure accurate and timely compliance with accounting standards, and effective financial management to support the company’s business objectives.
– Manage the full cycle accounting process, including general ledger
– Perform month-end and year-end closing activities, including reconciliations and journal entries.
– Prepare and review monthly journal entries
– Prepare and review monthly account reconciliations and ensure performed on timely basis and all reconciling items are resolved
– Ensure that records are maintained in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards– Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or CMA certification preferred.
– Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in financial services industry.
– Strong knowledge of IFRS and other relevant accounting standards.
– Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
– Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
– Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
– Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
