Job description: Senior Financial Professional – Contract – 18210About the OpportunityOur Public Sector client is seeking two (2) experienced Senior Financial Professionals to join their Financial Accounting Team on a contract basis. Reporting to the Group Leader, Financial Accounting, the successful candidates will support core financial operations, contribute to year-end activities, and manage day-to-day accounting transactions in a high-volume, detail-oriented environment.Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Travel claims processing
• Data entry of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable transactions
• Invoice verification and communication to business units
• Filing and archiving of financial records
• Month end and year end assistance
• Journal entry preparation and posting
• Review key expenses accounts to ensure correct coding
• Other administrative tasks

About YouThe successful candidate will have the following:

• Post-secondary education in Accounting, Business, Commerce, or another acceptable combination of training and experience
• A minimum of two (2) years of experience in an accounting or financial role, with demonstrated experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and month-end/year-end processing
• Experience using SAP, specifically with expenditure and procurement modules
• Proficiency in English
• A valid Reliability Security Clearance at the time of application

About the Job

• Duration: approximately July 2, 2025 – March 31, 2026 (or earlier depending on operational requirements)
• Location: Remote, with potential requirement for in-office presence
• Work Environment: Monday to Friday, 7.5 hours per day (excluding lunch breaks); exclusive of Federal Statutory Holidays
