Job description: Title: Software Engineer12 months requirement (Montreal, Quebec)Experienced Engineer – 6+ years of experience.Good written knowledge of English and FrenchWork In hybrid mode:The activities will be carried out on the premises of Thales Avionics Montreal at least three days a week.The other days can be done remotely.During the integration phases, a greater presence in the premises may be requiredActivities:Activity 1: Collect user needs and feedbackActivity 2: Design a process and associated tools to meet user needs and to critical development standards (DO-178C/DO-331/DO-330)Activity 3: Develop and test the required software toolsActivity 4: Document the tool architecture, developer guides and user guides toolsActivity 5: Support the deployment of processes and toolsActivity 6: Support tool usersActivity 7: Analyze/reproduce problems and propose solutionsActivity 8: Implement and test fixesTechnologyProgramming: Matlab, SimulinkProgramming: PythonOptional: Programming of several languages: Database, Java, Javascript/Typescript, C/C++Optional: object-oriented and/or multi-core programmingSkill Description:A Software Engineer performs a subset of all the software engineering activities required to develop one or more components of a software solution / product.These engineering activities encompass:– Contribution to the software architectural design Software Development & Verification of DO – 178B Level A/B/C– Refinement of the components requirements,– Assembly of the software components in a logical and controlled manner to evaluate the design, behavior, interactions and performance, and to confirm that the requirements against which the software components have been designed are fulfilled,– Proficiency in Automated Development & Verification environment & tool sets, configuration management, programming languages C/C++/DOORS/FPGA programming Etc.– Participates in the configuration item integration and verification phases;– Contribute to the production of the software data package for release to solutionPowered by JazzHR
