Job description: Job Description:Our Calgary-based client in the logistics industry is looking for a Contract Senior Accountant to support full-cycle accounting during a business integration. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone with strong reconciliation experience and knowledge of Axon or similar ERP systems.Key Responsibilities:
- Manage full-cycle accounting, including journal entries and financial reporting
- Perform bank, AP, and AR reconciliations, both manually and through Axon
- Maintain schedules for accrued payables and customer deposits
- Assist with month-end and year-end close; support audit prep
- Identify and correct missing transactions or discrepancies
- Collaborate with admin/operations teams to streamline processes
- Support integration of an acquired business into the parent company’s systems
- Ad-hoc duties as requested
Requirements:What You Bring:
- 2+ years of full-cycle accounting experience, preferably in logistics or transportation
- Diploma or degree in Accounting or Finance
- Experience with Axon or similar ERP systems
- Strong Excel skills and a detail-oriented approach
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, transitioning environment
- Available to start immediately
