Job description: Job Description:THE ROLE:Are you a skilled accounting professional ready to step into a key position with a real estate organization? This Senior Accountant role offers a unique opportunity to manage day-to-day accounting operations for multiple holding entities, lead critical budgeting and forecasting cycles, and ensure compliance with ASPE standards. During this 12-18 month contract, you’ll play an integral role in driving financial accuracy while maintaining a proactive and independent approach to process improvement.Your key responsibilities will include:

• Managing bookkeeping functions for a portfolio of 4-5 holding entities under ASPE.
• Preparing financial statements and documenting accounting positions.
• Leading budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning activities.
• Designing and refining Vena reporting templates to streamline planning processes.
• Organizing tax files and supporting year-end audits and compliance requirements.

You have a proven track record of optimizing processes, producing timely and accurate reports, and navigating the nuances of ASPE compliance successfully. • 2-5 years of hands-on experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and related functions.
• 1-2 years of full-cycle accounting experience, ideally working with ASPE standards and financial statement preparation.
• A demonstrated ability to identify needs, improve workflows, and implement solutions with minimal supervision.
• A valid CPA designation, ensuring your strong technical foundation.
