Job description: We are currently searching for a Transportation Engineer-in-Training in our Calgary office.The successful candidate will join a dynamic team active on transportation projects with a focus on highways, roads, and transportation-related infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include:

• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver project objectives from concept to design to construction.
• Competently and independently complete designs, technical reports, cost estimates, technical specifications and construction contract documents under the supervision of the Engineer of Record.
• Executing tenders, constructability assessments, contract administration, and inspection of transportation projects under the supervision of the Engineer of Record.
• Actively build and maintain relationships with clients, colleagues, suppliers, contractors, other consultants, government administrators for the benefit of clients, projects and business development.
• Coordinate Quality Assurance and Quality Control reviews for project deliverables.

Job RequirementsWhat you will bring:

• Undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited post-secondary institution, with key transportation electives or transportation project experience.
• 2+ years of transportation-related experience.
• Registered as an Engineer-In-Training with APEGA and eligible to apply for P.Eng. in Alberta within 3 years.
• Contract administration or construction field experience is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Word, and SharePoint, as well as PDF editors such as Adobe, PDF Exchange, or Bluebeam.
• Experience with design software including AutoCAD and Civil3D is an asset
• Excellent listening, verbal and technical writing skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• A client-service mindset with the ability to be responsive and adaptable to client needs.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to travel within Alberta.
