Job description: Our client, a local Calgarian specialty chemical manufacturer, is seeking a highly skilled Warehouse Lead to ensure our operations run like clockwork. Your guidance and leadership will directly impact our success, helping us to succeed in our mission of exceeding customer expectations on every order.If you are ready to step up and make big impacts from behind the scenes, we’d love to hear from you!As the Warehouse Lead, your day-to-day responsibilities include:

• Shipping and Receiving: Coordinate and inspect daily inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring timely delivery and accuracy. You will support the loading and unloading of trucks, as well as the documentation of shipping logs, packing slips, and performing regular inventory counts
• Hazardous Chemical Packaging: Participation in the safe handling and packaging of hazardous chemicals in compliance with regulatory standards and ensuring all hazardous materials are properly labeled and stored according to health and safety protocols
• General warehousing duties: Manage and maintain the organization and cleanliness of the warehouse, following all warehouse policies and procedures
• Forklift Operation: Operate forklifts and other warehouse machinery to move and organize inventory as needed, including regular inspections and maintenance to ensure safe operating conditions

On your resume we ask that you demonstrate:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in shipping/receiving and warehouse operations including 2+ years of experience using forklifts
• WHMIS, TDG, and Forklift certifications

During the interview process, we will be assessing for the following competencies and behaviors:

• Prior experience in shipping/receiving and warehouse operations, highlighting specific responsibilities and achievements.
• Experience using inventory management systems and how you’ve applied this knowledge in your previous roles
• Examples of your attention to detail and accuracy when handling shipments.
• Your approach to maintaining an organized and clean warehouse space.
• Examples of your problem-solving skills in a logistics or warehouse context.
• Possession of or willingness to attain WHMIS, TDG, and forklift certifications
• Ability to travel internationally (USA) and possession of a valid passport
