The firm embraces a team approach to the provision of quality legal services to the community.What the Firm Offers:Supportive and collaborative work environmentCompetitive compensationComprehensive benefits planPaid time offSeveral staff appreciation functions throughout the yearThe Job:Full cycle accounting duties including day-to-day, month-end, and year-end reporting activitiesInvestigation and implementation of Law Society of BC rulesSupervision of all aspects of the legal accounting department, with demonstrated knowledge of accounts receivable, accounts payable, collections, billing, time recording, payroll (using Payworks), budgeting, equipment leasing, trust accounting, and managing the group benefits planGeneral ledger maintenance and design at the user level using Acumin accounting softwareThe Ideal Candidate:Accounting designation requiredMinimum 5 years post-designation experience in CanadaExperience in legal, accounting, or engineering offices is considered an assetA self-starter with the ability to prioritize and manage a demanding workload with many deadlinesHighly motivated individual with high standards, strong work ethic, and integrityStrong computer skills using ExcelEducation:Secondary School (preferred)Experience:Accounting: 5 years (preferred)Licence/Certification:Chartered Professional Accountant (preferred)Job Type: Full-timePay: 65,000 to 70,000
