Job description: Job Description:Our Calgary-based client is looking for a Senior Accountant for a contract role to support their finance team during a busy period. This is a great opportunity for an experienced professional with strong skills in reconciliations, month-end close, journal entries, and accruals, who can step in and contribute immediately in a fast-paced environment.Key Responsibilities:
- Complete large, complex bank reconciliations
- Prepare month-end accruals and journal entries
- Assist with security deposit refunds
- Gather invoices and supporting data for bill backs
- Support financial reporting and audit prep
- Contribute to process improvements and ad-hoc tasks
Requirements:Qualifications:
- 5+ years of proven experience in senior level accounting roles
- Proficiency with accounting software; experience with Yardi, MRI, or similar systems is a strong asset
- Strong understanding of accrual accounting, reconciliations, and general ledger processes
- Advanced Excel skills and comfort working with large datasets
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Available to start immediately
